Yiayia
Eleni's Secret
There are secrets that are never written in books. They are passed down through hands, through scent, through the gaze of a woman who knows.
Yiayia Eleni — Maniot in spirit, Anatolian Greek in her roots — did not simply teach us how to make olive oil. She taught us how to respect the earth. How to listen to the olive tree. How to pour love into every single drop.
Since 1938, every autumn, the hands of our family have touched the same trees. The very trees that witnessed wars, celebrations, births and goodbyes. And every year, as a reward for our faithfulness, Mani gifts us the most precious liquid gold on earth.
That is the secret. Not a technique. A relationship. An eternal bond between a
family and an olive tree — that now reaches you.
The Wild Beauty of Mani
Mani does not welcome you with a smile. It challenges you.
Rocks that have stood for centuries, defying the sea. Soil that looks hard yetconceals within it the greatest tenderness. Olive trees that need nothing from man — yet reward those who honor them with the most noble of fruits.
This unique microclimate — the salt air of the Mediterranean, the merciless Aegean sun, the rocky mineral soil — gives the Koroneiki olive a character found nowhere else on earth. Fruity, vibrant, with notes of fresh-cut grass and a vitality that reminds you: nature, when she wishes, is the greatest chef ofall.
The Chef and the Gold
I have cooked in kitchens on every corner of the planet. I have worked with the finest producers on earth.
I have tasted ingredients that few have ever encountered.
And yet, the one ingredient I have never changed — that I would never change — is the one I grew up with. Our oil.It is not simply a product to me.
It is my identity. Every dish I have evercreated, every award I have won, every flavor I have given to the world —within them lives Mani, lives Yiayia Eleni, lives the olive trees that grewbefore I was born.
Now I want to give you what I have had since 1938. A bottle that holds not onlyoil. It holds an entire life.
